Welcome, food professionals, amateurs, and admirers alike. I decided to jump on the blog bandwagon, and you better buckle-up, its going to be a delicious ride.
I suppose that I should start from the beginning.
I love to cook. When I say that I love to cook, its a gross understatement. Cooking is my life. I love food. I will try anything and everything.
I grew up in a Latin household where the kitchen is the center of the home. The kitchen was where it was at. All the action, drama, gossip, activity. I loved it. And I loved being the center of attention. I think that's why I love cooking so much. The person cooking holds all the attention, all the power, all the authority. If you make the cook mad, you didn't eat that day. Every important occasion was celebrated with food, and lots of it. Food, Family, and Fun. Those are the three f-words I love.
So, I went through childhood knowing that I would be a chef someday. Then, as soon as I graduated High School, I enlisted. In the food army that is. I enrolled in culinary school and never looked back.
Here I am today, 2 long years later, with one more to go. There have already been so many great food stories, and I know that there is a lifetime more to come. I am so excited to share some of my experiences with you, as I look back over what has gone, and what is still yet to come, as I move on to bigger and better things in my pursuit to achieve culinary greatness.
